01

How the schedule is built

The generator uses Buffer's 2026 analysis of 52 million posts, read in local time. For each platform it knows the strongest and weakest days, a few top slots, and the hours when engagement usually peaks. It puts your posts on the stronger days first, spreads them so three posts a week don't land on three days in a row, and places each one in a top slot or in the peak hours.

Then it checks the whole calendar: if two posts would land closer than your minimum gap, the later one moves in 15-minute steps until it fits.

02

What the 2026 data says

TikTok: Saturday is strongest, then Monday; Wednesday is weakest; views climb between 6 and 11 p.m. Instagram: Wednesday leads, Friday trails, with a top slot Thursday at 9 a.m. and engagement peaking around 6 p.m. YouTube long videos do best on Sunday mornings (10 a.m.), while Shorts do best on Friday and Saturday, in the evening.

LinkedIn favors Wednesday to Friday afternoons (3–6 p.m.), and weekends beat Monday and Tuesday. Facebook and Threads are morning platforms: weekdays from about 8 a.m. to noon, with Wednesday and Thursday strongest.

03

Your own analytics beat any average

This is an average account's average week. Your audience may live in another time zone, work nights or watch at lunch. Use the generated week as a starting point, then check when your followers are online in each platform's analytics and move the slots there.

Buffer's own conclusion is the one to remember: the biggest gap in the data isn't between good and bad timing, it's between posting and not posting. A schedule you can keep beats a perfect one you can't.

04

From a plan to a running calendar

Uplonic schedules each post to its own time on each platform from one calendar. For a fixed daily rhythm, set publishing time slots for the workspace: approved videos then take the next free slot, so even a batch approved at once keeps the rhythm.
