How to Create Your First Workspace in Uplonic

In Uplonic a workspace is called an app. It holds one brand's or one client's channels, media library, schedules and comments. This guide creates the first one from the Getting started card and explains how apps are limited and billed.

How to Create Your First Workspace in UplonicAI
On this page

To start in Uplonic, create a workspace. The product calls it an app: one brand's or one client's channels, media library, schedules and comments in a single place. You create the first one from the "Getting started" card on the dashboard home page, and it becomes the active app as soon as you save it.

What an app is, and how many you need

Everything you see in the dashboard belongs to the app that is currently selected: the connected channels, the media library, the calendar of scheduled posts and the comments. Nothing crosses from one app to another.

That is why the usual setup is one app per brand, or one app per client if you work for an agency. A client's channels and videos never mix with another client's, and a team member can only reach the apps they were invited to. The team invitation guide covers that side.

Before you begin

You need an Uplonic account and nothing else. Role and plan do not matter for this step, because you are the first member of the app you create. The "Getting started" card lists four steps: create an app, connect a channel, send out your first video, and look at the results. This guide covers the first one.

Check scope: The steps and limits below follow the dashboard and API implementation as of 2026-10-24. We did not connect any real social channel for this guide, and no result depends on a network accepting a post.

Create the app

  1. Open the dashboard home page. On the "Getting started" card, find the app step and click "Create". The same action is in the "Add" menu at the top, under "New app".
  2. In the dialog, enter a name. Pick one that makes it obvious whose app it is. You can rename it later.
  3. Leave the developer settings at the bottom of the dialog closed. You only need them if you work with the API.
  4. Save. A confirmation reads "App created: " followed by the name, and the new app becomes the active one.

The first step on the "Getting started" card is ticked from your real data, not from a click: it appears as done once the app exists. If the tick does not show, reload the page.

Switch between apps

The sidebar shows which app is active, and it is also where you switch when you own or belong to more than one. Switching changes the channels, videos, schedules and comments you see, because all of them belong to the selected app. If a menu item only says to choose an app, you have no active app yet.

What it costs, and the limits

Creating an app is free. On a paid plan the price depends on the channels you connect, and every app has its own plan, so one app's plan never covers another app. A new app starts on the Free plan. The Pricing page lists the current values, and they change, so this guide does not repeat numbers.

Two caps apply to app creation. One account can own only a small number of apps that are on the Free plan, and there is also an overall cap on the apps one account can own. Apps you delete do not count. If you reach a cap, the new app is refused, and moving an existing app to a paid plan frees room under the free cap.

Apps and AI tools

If you later connect an AI tool such as Claude to Uplonic through MCP, you connect apps, not your whole account. When you approve the connection you tick which apps the tool may reach, with read or write access per app, and you can only choose apps you are a member of. That is another reason to keep brands and clients in separate apps. The MCP integration page describes the flow.

Action

The app cannot be created

You may have reached the free-app cap or the overall cap.

Upgrade an existing app to a paid plan, or delete an app you no longer use.

The card does not tick the first step

Ticks come from data, so the page may be showing an old state.

Reload the page. The app should then show as done.

A menu item asks you to choose an app

No app is active.

Create or select an app from the sidebar, then open the item again.

With the app in place, the next step is the channel. The YouTube connection guide walks through it, and the publishing overview shows what you can do once a channel is connected.

Sources & methodology

Checked 2026-10-24 against Uplonic's dashboard onboarding card, the create-app dialog and the API's app-creation limit check. Plan values are deliberately not quoted because they change; the Pricing page is the reference. No live social network was involved.
