How the Creator Rewards Program pays
TikTok pays per 1,000 qualified views, an RPM that moves every month. Its terms say rewards are “calculated dynamically based on the country of the video views origin, the number of video views, video engagement and authenticity”. TikTok doesn't publish the rates, so the calculator uses 2026 market benchmarks built from creator-reported payouts: about $0.85 per 1,000 qualified views in the US, $0.70 in the UK, $0.62 in Germany, $0.58 in France, $0.55 in Japan, $0.52 in South Korea and $0.32 in Brazil.
For viewer countries without a benchmark, the calculator scales the rate from the YouTube advertising index of that market, with an exponent fitted to the markets that have both. TikTok's country spread is much narrower than YouTube's, and the fit reproduces the published markets within a few cents. These rows are marked in the breakdown.
02
Who can join
Where you live decides whether you can join, and it's a short list. The program runs in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea and Brazil, and since October 2025 in Mexico. You also need to be 18 or older, have a personal account in good standing, at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 authentic views in the last 30 days.
If you live elsewhere, Hungary included, you can't earn from the program, whatever your audience. Using a VPN to get around this breaks the terms. The calculator still shows what your audience would be worth, so you can compare it with brand deals and other platforms.
03
Why your view count overstates your income
Only videos longer than one minute earn rewards. On those, a view qualifies if someone watches for at least five seconds in the For You feed, the view is authentic, and the viewer didn't tap “not interested”. Creators report that roughly half the views on eligible videos qualify, and about 60% of a typical account's views land on videos over a minute.
Put together, the rate per 1,000 of all your views is about a third of the headline RPM. That's why 1 million views from a US audience come to about $255, not $850.
04
Niche and engagement
Advertisers pay more for some audiences. In the 2026 benchmarks, finance runs about 1.3× the baseline, business 1.22× and tech 1.18×, while gaming sits at 0.9× and entertainment at 0.85×. Watch time and engagement move it further: TikTok rewards videos people actually watch.
05
Getting paid, and what else pays
TikTok pays monthly once your balance reaches $50. Creator Rewards is rarely the biggest income line: LIVE gifts, subscriptions and brand deals usually pay more per follower. To price a sponsored video, use the sponsorship rate calculator.
